Dudley Smith - Artist

I have been creating art as long as I can remember. Creating art has always been a challenge but even more so now that I have been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Overcoming challenges has now become the norm instead of the exception.  I have decided to focus on traditional pottery and sculpture as I really enjoy working with clay. I also enjoy painting, so I am going to include some of my paintings and other related work on this site.

 

I received my Undergraduate and Masters Degree in art from Western Carolina University.  I also attended a summer session at Penland School of Craft.  I have been fortunate to have my art exhibited in shows in several states and won multiple awards.  I have worked in art education 20 years.  I am privileged to have a wonderful wife and son and have been married for over 30 years. I have several pets including a puppy. Her name is Chloe.  I hope you enjoy my art and keep visiting Neanderthal Pottery to see what's new.
